Hip Master Bathroom
A complete renovation of a master bathroom we completed, offering our clients greater storage and a larger space to relax in. We installed a second vanity, replacing the previously large jacuzzi tub, allowing plenty of surface and cabinet area for our two clients. In order to properly connect the plumbing to the new vanity, we had to create a half-height wall (adjacent to the walk-in shower), which seamlessly transitioned the grey floor tiling to the Starfire glass shower walls.
The Starfire glass walls replaced the floor-to-ceiling doors, which now prevents the overproduction of unwanted steam. Other new additions to the shower include a brand new shower bench and niche. The niche was designed with dark tile in order to create contrast with the classic white subway tile walls.
To make the bathroom more accessible to the large walk-in closet, we designed a brand new entryway, linking both spaces together - perfect for dressing on cold days!
We painted the vanity a dark grey, blending in with the floor tiles and contrasting with the beautiful blonde maple doors. And lastly, for visual interest, we incorporated unique pendant lights complete with Edison bulbs.
Project designed by Skokie renovation firm, Chi Renovation & Design - general contractors, kitchen and bath remodelers, and design & build company. They serve the Chicago area, and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore. You'll find their work from the Loop through Lincoln Park, Skokie, Evanston, Wilmette, and all of the way up to Lake Forest.
