Gressel First Floor Remodel

A full first floor renovation was in order for this 1970's home on the golf course. Walls were moved to increase the size of the kitchen and family room. Moving the door to the garage and laundry room gives room for the large island and lots of cabinets. The house is perfect for family and entertaining.

A lonely living room was portioned off into this private home office and an adjoining new laundry space.

The foyer received a new look with the addition of the shiplap wall treatment and built-in corner shelving. The French door was added to provide privacy to the new home office.

The wainscoting has the same batten treatment as the foyer. Painting the trim and lower walls white keeps the dark gray room feel bright.

Moving the laundry and door to the garage enlarged the space of this kitchen. The large island has an abundance of storage. Cabinets are by KraftMaid in "Harbor Blue." Countertops are Silestone quartz.

The Wolf range is located where the door to the garage used to be. The new layout is more efficient and enlarges the space of the most used room in the house.

The Flip Out Window has gas struts and opens with a gentle push. It sits directly on the countertop that extends from the inside to the outside, creating a resort style bar for entertaining.
