Historic College Hill Home

Built in 1929, this home has been the subject of remodeling project just about every year since we moved it. What hasn't been restored to original has been replaced with compatible materials and details.

Glass door cabinet for display of dishes adjacent to a Marmoleum countertop. The scale of the kitchen suggested a single compartment Kohler sink and the Chicago Faucet is a timeless choice.

Historic Home

We debated about getting a restored antique refrigerator, but instead choose a very modern built-in 27" Sub-Zero with panels to match the cabinet work. It blends in so well, many people don't recognize it as a refrigerator.

The Marmoleum counter-top has the traditional metal edge and the deep drawers have internal dividers. The cabinet includes a pull up mixer stand.

We replaced the vinyl flooring with the original Douglas fir and we replaced the door to the back landing with an 8 light glazed door for more light and views of the back yard. Lighting consists of hidden under cabinet lights and school house fixtures.
