Historic South University Home

This was a remodeling of the north side of a 1930 house south of the University. It included the side entrance, the breakfast nook, kitchen, parts of the stairwell and a home office.

The kitchen has a built-in breakfast nook just inside of the side entrance.

the breakfast built-in has storage under the table and under the seats. The seats are Eastern maple and the details are consistent with the wainscoting.

From inside the kitchen there are good views to the garden outside and to the breakfast area.

The main body of the kitchen is "U" shaped with the taller built-ins on the opposite wall. On the dining room wall and next to the breakfast table is storage for linens and accessories.

The interior window opens into the stairwell that goes down to the basement and home office.
