Hip, stylish couple wanted to update their newly purchased traditional home (built 2007) utilizing mostly cosmetic, decorative improvements -- not structural changes. They frequently entertain, and requested both large and small environments for both their and their children's social gatherings and dance parties, as well as workplace meetings. Our primary palette is bright orange and deep blue. We employ the deep, saturated hues on sizeable areas like walls and large furniture pieces, and soften and balance the intense hues with creamy off-whites. We introduce contemporary light fixtures throughout the house and incorporate textured wall coverings inside the display cabinets, above the wainscoting, on fireplace surrounds, on accent walls and on the living room coffered ceiling.
