Palm Desert Oasis

This renovation and new construction was for a home in one of California’s exclusive, 36-hole "double" golf and country clubs. The clients are wine connoisseurs and frequently entertain. They wanted their home to support their lifestyle and have a sophisticated “resort” appeal. Pineapple House Interior Design was able to completely rework the floor plans and determine new materials and patterns for walls, floors, counters and ceilings. We switched several rooms around, and introduced dark interior walls and ceilings, primarily using burl walnut, because the desert is intensely bright. Darker colors absorb and balance extreme light. The lush pallet is a welcome, unique theme in homes in the region.
