North Vancouver Craftsman
To complement the fir casings originally present throughout the house, new shaker-style cabinets were painted cherry. The clients placed the highest priority on ease of cleaning and longevity, therefore Troico chose materials that would last the test of time. In addition to complementing the existing slate flooring' design style, black quartz was chosen because it is streak-free, heat-resistant, anti-microbial, and stain resistant. By choosing a glass tile backsplash, the homeowners will not have to worry about any potential staining or re-sealing of a natural stone. The team incorporated a mosaic slate element to the backsplash just above the stove to provide visual interest and blend in with the existing floors. The room appears tidy due to the linear stainless steel handles.
