Former Kitchen had very little storage. Corner cabinet space on the bottom was wasted. Entire room was dark, small and claustrophobic.
To open it up, two arched openings were made on both Dining Room and Hallway sides. New cabinets have "Lazy Susan" corner base and upper units, as well as several functional pull-outs including toe-kick drawer. Former dining table was replaced with multi-functional breakfast bar consisting of two rows of base cabinets for additional storage. New cabinets are soft-close, full extension, dove-tail and all plywood construction. Old linoleum floor has been replaced with sturdy porcelain tiles. New Kitchen features subway tile back splash, new lighting and quartz counter tops.
