After much consideration was given to remodeling the existing home this family had occupied for several years, it was determined the best course of action was to design a new and more efficient home.

The site location is in a very sought neighborhoods where many older and outdated homes are being replaced by large traditional homes; but in the case of this project, a smaller more contemporary home was designed for the property. The 4,000 SF home includes a photography studio, small office, exercise room, guest room, master suite and a generous junior bedroom suite with sitting area for their teenage daughter. A very open entertaining area was desired so the dining, kitchen and family room would all flow nicely from one space to the next both physically and visually. The simple, but refined, finishes allowed us to keep the construction costs low and the overall feel of the home open, bright and contemporary.
