The remodel was to focus on three main areas: The kitchen, the master suite, and the kids’ bathroom. A dropped ceiling was removed in the kitchen to restore the original 10 foot ceiling height. Custom white shaker cabinets were designed to fit the family’s needs as well as the period of the home. Carrera marble countertops and subway tile backsplash round out the traditional touches while being contrasted with modern stainless steel professional appliances.
The kids bathroom is spacious and bright with white subway tiles surrounding the tub, a tiled ledge with frosted window, including a lead pane transom window. The alcove shower is tiled from floor to ceiling and has a glass shower door. Custom cabinet vanity with dual sinks and stainless fixtures.
The Master bedroom is spacious and elegant. 2 inch rift sawn white oak floors with inlays run throughout the room into the walk through closet. New windows allow light in and keep the energy cost low. Recessed lighting and crown moulding accent the room. The bathroom looks to the past with a separate soaking tub, Carrera countertops, and traditional fixtures. A custom sized walk in shower was created and tiled with white subway tile that matches the kitchen backsplash.
