A tub with a view, situated behind a large window that perfectly frames the Seattle Skyline is the center piece of this master bath, created as an oasis from the rigors of daily life. The gentle tones, natural stone and real wood give a feeling of being connected to something larger. The corner shower boasts of a steam unit, speakers and control of the audio system from inside the shower. In bathrooms privacy is always a concern, and even though the vantage point to view in is over a mile away we still provided one way glass with exterior lights to aid during the twilight hours. The last item the owner was concerned about was the view from the water closet, so we aligned the “throne” to the city by placing at a 45 degree angle, put in place another one way mirror in the door, and managed the lighting between the two spaces to maintain the privacy glass.
