Salvage & Reuse

Specific items we have specified or an architect has specified that we have refurbished as needed to be reused. These images are of doors but there are other similar items in the fireplaces section and we have refurbished miles of historic trim. In one case, we stripped and prepped over 5000 linear feet of historic trim to be reused in the same house.

These began life in around 1900. We got to them when a client needed a set of foyer doors. They were stripped, taken apart, put back together, trimmed to fit and refinished.

This is a giant set of french door slabs which came from the manufacturer "fixed" in the jambs with neither operating, essentially windows now doors. We took them apart, did mechanical repairs as needed and rehung them.

This is a mid 1940's door which we unglazed (removed the glass) stripped and serviced as needed, repainted and reglazed. This style door upper half glass is normally reserved for porch, rear or servant entrances.

Older door refinished to be reused. Sympathetically stripped to bare wood, mechanically serviced as needed, sealed as needed, refinished as needed. Frosted glass thermopane added.
