Scandinavian Design

It's hard to believe this jaw dropping kitchen was once a small, dark and dated space that lacked flow, storage and personality. The homeowners yearned for an updated Scandinavian style space with an open layout, clean lines, a clutter free environment and smart organizational solutions.

A wall was removed between the kitchen and dining room to allow for a peninsula and to enhance the natural light between the two spaces and to create an open, airy feel.

A custom-made wood hood adds warmth and textural beauty to the space and the cement tiles add a hint of color and playful pattern.

The opening from the kitchen to the family room was enlarged. This still allows some separation between the two spaces but opens the space for entertaining and provides ample counter space.
