Whole Home Transformation
This design project breathes new life into a dated 1990s floor plan, reimagining it for the dynamic rhythms of our client’s young family. This complete remodel focuses on prioritizing functionality and thoughtful spatial flow from basement to bedrooms and everything in between.
The primary suite has been thoughtfully rebalanced, reducing bedroom square footage to introduce dual walk-in closets—offering tailored storage solutions without compromising elegance. In the adjoining bathroom, a spa-forward redesign emphasizes clean lines and generous proportions: an oversized shower takes center stage, flanked by layered storage including a linen cabinet, deep drawers, and lighted medicine cabinets with integrated outlets.
Elsewhere, the flow of daily life is reconsidered— the former formal living room is transformed into a warm, inviting dining space, freeing up the old dining area to become part of a dramatically expanded kitchen with a must-have walk-in pantry.
A redefined laundry zone now serves as a hardworking mudroom, complete with custom cabinetry, dedicated drop zones for each family member, and a built-in dog shower—designed with the family’s Bernese Mountain Dog in mind.
Throughout the home, *storage is king*: from built-in cabinetry in the family room and basement rec room, to clever conversions like dead space transformed into a utility closet on the main floor and overflow closets on the second floor. This design is an ode to intentional living—where every inch is smart, stylish, and ready for life.
