BAMO

Sonoma Residence

Set on 65 acres in California wine country, this 3,900-square-foot home is inspired by the region’s agrarian landscape, the elegance of Japanese architecture, and the clients’ global sensibilities. Designed for longtime BAMO clients, the home is deeply personal; an airy, light-filled retreat that blurs the line between indoors and out.

The interiors highlight a curated collection of art, heirlooms, and artisan furnishings, many brought from their previous residence and recontextualized here. Natural light washes through floor-to-ceiling windows, energizing the home’s soft palette with purposeful moments of blue and yellow. The kitchen, a focal point for the Le Cordon Bleu–trained host, features a furniture-style island designed for everyday creativity.

Custom details, like metalwork by the clients’ son and a cocoon-inspired headboard floating in the landscape, underscore the residence’s layered personality. Grounded yet expressive, this is a home designed for ease, beauty, and meaningful living.
