Like many homeowners in the area our clients came to us looking to add a second garage bay. After much investigation we came to the conclusion that the setbacks and the existing site conditions made anything but a tandem garage impossible. By no means an ideal arrangement a tandem garage in this case gave the homeowners the extra space they needed as well as an attached storage room. More than a garage the space also functions as an extension of the patio and covered outdoor space. A large steel beam provides structural support and defines the space.
