After completing a backyard pool/entertainment space three years earlier, the homeowners challenged our team to develop the remaining underutilized wooded space on the property; with the caveat of only being able to remove one tree. In this portion of the property the client wanted spaces for the following; personal reflection, intimate encounters, and family gatherings. They also wanted the space to encourage interaction with site's intrinsic value; the wooded grove. The completed result became a series of spaces along a fieldstone path(s); a nestled hammock retreat, water feature (stream, rapids, pond), a fire pit, and pergola gathering space.
