This space was designed for a European couple living in Southern California who had an appreciation for creativity in design. The space needed a design approach that was bold and vibrant while maintaining a modern, sophisticated feel. The formal living room was transformed into a modern rustic dining space that doubles as a library. The large dining table can seat up to ten people and is perfect for dinner parties. Another entertainment space is the oversized kitchen counter that can seat up to ten more guests. The clients love to host parties in a laid back but inspiring atmosphere. The family room is anchored by a black fireplace and a fun accent wall that generates an engaging visual. The furniture pieces and light fixtures are clean lined, mid-century modern inspired, and combined with rustic modern items made out of reclaimed wood. The vibrant colors add a sense of playfulness to the overall atmosphere.
