This project was one of salvage. The structure was mostly destroyed in Katrina and the new owners wanted to renovate the first floor while adding a second floor for their elder parents. This structure was removed to the piers, raised, and then reconstructed with a second floor addition. It is in keeping with the neighborhood context while maintaining all code issues for a non- conforming lot in the university area of uptown New Orleans.
