Sixties Penthouse with incredible views, high ceilings, full-height windows overlooking the Brentwood Country Club. Now, this was a find! Fantasy here was to bring it back to its original glory. The place had great bones and butterfly ceilings with walnut-paneled walls that just needed some TLC. Painted soft colors of pink on the dining walls, grey blues against the fireplace in the living room and a bright orange front door. The original slate in the entry and in the dining area was a plus and then we did shag carpeting in the rest of the interiors. Furnished the penthouse with original Kagan and Wormley, Joe Colombo, Gae Aulenti, Gaetano Pesce, Isamu Noguchi 50s furniture. I wanted the space to feel sculptural, colorful, and full of life.
