The C-Line Medium 010 was designed as an urban infill home for working artists. Special attention was given to natural light through the use of large window groupings and careful orientation. Soaring spaces were created to give a loft-like impression to the open, flowing plan, making the house feel like it can transition between a studio and a home. The home has three bedrooms on the upper level, one of which overlooks the tall living room space and doubles as a studio. The stairway to the basement has a semi-private access from the front door, so guests or customers visiting the basement studio can go directly there without going through the rest of the house.
