The dining room was designed around the client’s lifestyle and combines rustic and glamourous. We took an intimate and holistic approach to designing this functional and stylish space.
From floor to ceiling, this relaxing, yet elegantly designed room sits upon a wool and silk hand-knotted area rug – not to be missed! The round to oval, rustic java finish dining table sits casually upon the rug. The time worn finish brings the warmth of rustic design paired with a timeless transitional design. The chairs have a thin cane back, French linen seats, and black vintage tacks. The Italian Demilune chest features an artisan finish on hand carved mahogany with antiqued hardware.
Two pieces of “jewelry” in the room are the polished chrome chandelier wit individually dressed crystals and drum shade; as well as the custom window treatments on an acrylic rod with metal accents and glass ball finials. Nestled in between the window treatments are three antique styled pulleys from a horse drawn carriage to add a rustic and unexpected touch. The ethereal watercolor “Wild Horse” piece of art is an equestrian nod to the estate. To keep the space feeling open and bright, we opted for a neutral and light color palette base with high contrast on the wood finishes and crisp white accents to give it a more modern feel.
We wanted to design a space with casual charm that immediately feels comfortable and familiar, mixed with a touch of glamour to indulge in a little bit of everyday luxury, and the clients love it.
