Kitchen Houston
We used a simple pair of Giclee sepia over scaled art (39Wx49H) in place of a console to leave the room more open, while providing a sense of coziness. To warm the room, a 10-foot square rug anchored the 72-inch alpine brown kitchen table in the center of the room. Six charcoal linen chairs, with a gray contrast finish, completed this space. The rug became the inspirational palette for the bottom floor, which included soft colors such as smoky blue, cream, taupe, and gray. A large, rustic/industrial chandelier, beautifully centered above the kitchen table, offered a stunning focal point. Four custom fabric counter stools were placed at the large island, which incorporated colors from the rug. Motorized roller shades with a silver metallic fabric addressed privacy issues, while adding warmth and color to the room. Strategically placed mercury glass, dried botanicals, and distressed accessories were added throughout the kitchen.
