Houston Home
An over scaled tight pattern rug built the foundation for the overall room. Two large bench style sofas, instead of a traditional three over three, were used to accommodate three to four people per sofa. The clients each have their own comfortable, yet stylish, swivel chair, which are directly across from the television. The sofa fabric was chosen to be light and neutral with beautiful accent throw pillows. The sofa has a classic button tufted seat with a transitional nail head trim and exposed wood base. Each sofa is flanked by a distressed black and brown end table. To bring in the clients' love for coastal living, a driftwood sofa table was added. The swivel chairs were given a bold print with a pleated back button detail. An over scaled, distressed wood planked cocktail table is the centerpiece of the room. To add ambiance to the room, a total of five lamps were included in the space; one cement lamp grounds the two chairs, two bell-shaped mercury glass lamps on each end table, and two blue ceramic based lamps with silk cylinder-like shades were placed on the sofa table. For privacy, motorized roller shades in a silver metallic fabric were added. Luxurious textured draperies complete this room.
