Cedar Creek
This kitchen renovation reflects the art of balance—where timeless tradition meets fresh, family-forward design. Nestled on nearly two acres with sweeping views of Cedar Creek, this colonial home had undeniable potential—but its interiors felt heavy, dark, and trapped in the early 2000s. With cherry finishes, oversized built-ins, and imposing brick pillars, the main living areas lacked the warmth and functionality this young family with two little boys desired.
Our goal was to honor the home’s traditional Colonial roots while creating a space that felt brighter, more open, and aligned with the rhythms of everyday life. We refreshed the kitchen with light, natural tones and carefully chosen modern finishes that still felt timeless. The result is an inviting, heritage-inspired space where classic lines and thoughtful craftsmanship anchor the design—but a sense of ease and modern lifestyle shines through.
The kitchen now flows effortlessly into the dinette and living room, thanks to widened openings and a reimagined layout that makes the entire home feel cohesive and welcoming. The custom walk-in pantry is now an especially beautiful and highly functional dual-purpose pantry/laundry room—proving that even the most utilitarian spaces can carry beauty and intention.
We paid close attention to light, flow, and materials—creating spaces that feel rooted in tradition but made for real life. This project is exactly what the homeowners dreamed of: a home that keeps its soul but lives and breathes with them, every single day.
