A big and beautiful home and a kitchen with distinctive cabinetry were the inspirations for this Mequon renovation. The homeowner loved the look of her existing oak cabinets, but the layout of the kitchen and den needed improvement. A small den addition, new windows with transoms, and a new patio door brings sunlight and grandeur into this previously dim space. Existing hickory ceiling beams were continued into the new den space. In combination with the new white cabinetry flanking the fireplace, the den now has a bright and airy feel. A new archway was created between the den and kitchen and another exit to the patio replaced the existing door, which was awkward and small. New hardwood floors were run throughout the first floor and feature a water popped finish. A large island and additional display storage was seamlessly integrated into existing features, and new light fixtures and paint finish the space.

This Mequon renovation also includes an upstairs bathroom featuring a glass enclosed shower, double sinks, and new custom cabinetry.
