Kilbourn Tower Condo
These minimalist clients fell in love with their home’s downtown views.
Kitchen: our clients gave our team the task of developing a smart floorplan to take advantage of stunning cityscape views.
With its abundance of natural light, subtle details shine through in this downtown condo. Understated white oak cabinetry and thick Cambria countertops quietly enhance the upscale feel in the kitchen. Large format matte glass backsplash panels, low profile lighting and a custom oak desk serve as a neutral backdrop.
Wide plank white oak floors carry simple lines and warmth through the space and allow honest features and quiet design to shine through.
Bathroom:
This couple’s condo was bright and spacious—except for the bathroom, which felt like an entanglement of dark tunnels. Our design included a sleek vanity and walnut wall to ground the freestanding tub. We outfitted the bathroom with smart tech and thoughtful features, such as a ceiling-mounted bath filler and an intelligent toilet.
Walnut touches to keep the bathroom seamless and highlight the downtown views. We made smart and subtle edits to the layout, including an enlarged shower, expanded linen closet, reworked hallway and a custom walnut cabinet.
This space now has loads of natural light, and our layout rework now allows the
light to travel through the whole space. This project highlights how the use of one beautiful material--in this case, the use of walnut planks--makes the space both simple and significant. It's truly uncomplicated design at its best. This project highlights how smart selections and a thoughtful layout can really change how large and bright a space feels.
