These homeowners wanted a vintage, loft-like kitchen aesthetic in their typical Chicago row house kitchen. “We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful existing exposed brick wall to work with,” commented Normandy Designer Kathryn O’Donovan. “The wall was very rich in color and texture, and it was decided that it should be the focal point of the kitchen. The kitchen has an open concept, which has become very popular in homes as the kitchen becomes more of an entertaining and gathering space."
