Creating more storage and a better flow throughout their kitchen and bar area were top on the list of these homeowners’ priorities when remodeling their kitchen. They worked with Normandy Designer Chris Ebert to achieve their goals, and were ecstatic with their award winning kitchen and bar area’s renovation.

“I recommended removing the existing peninsula, which was creating an unwanted barrier between the kitchen and seating area, and not utilizing the full potential of the space. The peninsula was replaced with an island, meeting several of the homeowners’ needs. The new island created a better flow in the kitchen, added storage space and more seating than the perimeter had provided,” says Chris.

“To further enhance the flow of the room, we removed the majority of the structural wall that blocked the bar from the kitchen,” commented Chris, “We then enlarged the bar countertop to fill in where there was dead space to make everything proportional, allowing better work space and increased storage behind the bar.”
