The homeowners of this Naperville home addition worked closely with Normandy Design Manager Troy Pavelka to expand their cramped kitchen and first floor living space. The rooms the family spent the majority of time in, all felt undersized and not within the scale of the rest of the home. Careful consideration was given to the expansion of the entire back of the home, so that the required structure would not detract from the architecture of the home. Decorative columns, concealed columns and millwork worked in unison to help disguise the large expansion. The warm details of cherry cabinetry, natural hardwood flooring and stone detailing at the fireplace contributed to this traditional transformation.
