These clients were looking to renovate their entire home to accommodate the changing needs of their family and allow three generations to live comfortably under one roof. One of their main requests was to have a larger, more family-friendly kitchen with more storage and better flow. By opening up the main floor, we could install a large island in the kitchen to help them achieve their goals. Rearranging their master bedroom enables wasted space to be put to use and gives the clients a large walk-in closet plus a spacious en suite washroom. The light grey/white colour scheme in the master en suite contrasts nicely with the black hardware and plumbing fixtures to give the room a sophisticated yet calm feel. The main washroom was also renovated using a soft colour palette throughout. In the basement, to accommodate children becoming older and needing their own space, a kitchenette was installed along with a new fireplace, built-in with TV hook ups and a new washroom. Now this area is the perfect space for their teenage children to hang out. All in all, this home became what the clients had envisioned: a family oasis.
