Our clients’ home was in a great neighbourhood but not great for the needs of themselves and their 3 children. Adding a large 2-storey addition and executing interior renovations enabled us to re-configure their entire space while still leaving their attractive house facade intact. The end result is a bright, open space with plenty of storage and fantastic flow. Now, each child has their own hidden “homework/craft” drawer in the kitchen island as well as bedrooms that function and are large enough. The rear second storey is a primary retreat acting as a haven when needed for the busy parents.
