Highlands II
The existing site included over grown plant material, that screened the front of the house. The steep front yard grass slope, was hard to maintain and used lots of water. We designed a xeriscape yard that included a new entry walk with stairs – to connect the side walk to the front door. Before this design, guests had to walk up the sloped driveway first, than a skinny sidewalk by the house. We also used board formed concrete walls, to play off the line of the new concrete steps. Linear plantings were used, for a simple statement. New addressed signage was also designed, to act as a focal point for the walls. The linear steps included recessed strip lights. This project was installed by Sterling Landscape in 2015. The main subs were Alison Concrete and After Dark Lighting. These pictures were taken right after completion. Once the plants mature, the overall feeling of this project, will change dramatically!
