The biggest challenge for this back yard remodel was the +20’ drop from the back of the house to the back property line. The client’s main goals were to develop a large usable play area for their kids, develop an outdoor entertainment area for the adults and to keep the landscape design within the modern/contemporary style of the Residence. After an initial concept plan we approved, we developed construction drawings to deal with the concrete wall design, floating staircase, concrete seatwall, stepping stones and water feature (to be installed in a later phase). The home owner was very involved in the design process, as well as our team of subs. This was a team effort to turn a hard site into a usable outdoor space with gorgeous views of Downtown Boise. This project was designed in 2008 and installed by Sterling Landscape in 2009
