Lexington Hills

This extensive landscape remodel demolished the ‘builder special’ patio and installed a multi level outdoor entertainment area. A stamped concrete patio was designed with a small sunken area to accommodate the spillway water feature and for an area for a small outdoor fire pit. A built in grill was added to the upper area. Native Table Rock Sandstone wall builders were saw cut and hand chiseled to form the walls. Large Arizona flagstone stepping stones were added as a path between the front and back yards. Extensive planting were also added. This project was installed by Franz Witte Landscape in 2004. UPDATE : THE LANDSCAPE CHANGES OVER TIME........ When a landscape design is initially installed, is is sometimes hard for the homeowner to envision how it will drastically change over time. Trees and shrubs will grow, stone and other hardscape items will weather and new shade patterns will be introduced by the larger trees. Initially the stone was bright, but over time it weathered, and the plants started to soften the stone. This project was installed by Franz Witte Landscape in 2004 with the shade structured being phased in 2005. The following pictures were taken right after the installation in 2004 and in 2011 to show how the landscape has matured.
