Kitchen/Living Area Facelift

This room had a great canvas to jump off of. The cabinetry was better organized with full extensions drawers, appliances were shuffled differently, the island countertop was made larger which now allowed around it, changing the dynamics of entertaining. The ceiling was opened up adding a focal point to this area of teh room.

With a floor footprint that was very large, this space was being under utilized from end to the other.

The view from the outside was now more appreciated as seen from several areas. New colors allowed for a new life brought to the space. An appliance center was now across from the island and acted as a feature in the room.

The family room across from the kitchen was more of a pass through going from one room to an other rather than an invitation to sit, enjoy the view and socialize in.

Family Room re-invented

Great space, very old space with HUGE potential. This style of kitchen is so typical in many homes. It was time for this kitchen be gutted, re-designed for a better function, storage, purpose and beauty.

The fireplace remained in the same place however, the "business" center was increased in size and function as was the top of the fireplace. This was the other side of that same kitchen wall. An adjoining see through fireplace needed to also be updated and say good bye to the oak wood. The wall also looks very small and seems an impossible task of placing much needed seating in a room meant to socialize.

Seeing as the kitchen got a re-design, the wall behind it could not be ignored. It has the adjoining see through fireplace. Some creative thinking created the floating shelves, stone for the fireplace and a coffered ceiling to match the one placed into the family room.
