Master Retreat
Our client needed a tranquil space to sneak away from the typical busy life... job… kids… husband… dog…. need I say more?! This Master retreat was the perfect space to create a calm and relaxing environment.
We wanted to capitalize on the buttery cream wall hue which highlighted the natural wood beams on the ceiling. Fabrics in hues of soft grey/green added depth and sophistication. Wood tones and natural elements were a must for this home owner.
The drapery clearly stole the show in this space. We needed this element to add color and texture without dominating the space. We chose a gorgeous Schumacher print and complimented it with unlined natural woven wood blinds which gave texture and warmth. It allowed you to see their gorgeous pool with the sheerness of the blind.
Next, we needed an oversized bed that we had upholstered in cream linen fabric; pairing it with fabulous nightstands in a lighter finish with clear lamps and black shades to add drama. We sprinkled in antique books and accessories to give a sense of ambiance. Custom pillows were fabricated with the client’s monogram. At the foot of the bed we found a delightful antique bench which our client adores. It is functional and adds an unexpected touch. The rug was a vintage, one of kind, gem that completed the space.
Beautiful art as well as a soothing blue/green color on the ceiling pulled the elements of the master bedroom into the bathroom. The antique ladder allowed a fun way to display linens. An antique bench, some candles, and an orchid or two created the perfect place for our client’s to get away without leaving home.
