This project, in conjunction with Kingdom Builders, started out as a renovation, but quickly morphed into a new custom home. With Owners Nicole and Darren having Kingdom Builders at their fingertips (they are partners in the company), we worked together to design and create a modern home featuring a large, high ceiling, open concept main floor, while still creatively maximizing the separation between public and more private spaces. The combination of natural and environmentally friendly man-made materials, as well as modern roof forms helped create a style of architecture that both blends in, and yet sets itself apart from its neighbours. A large, semi private roof top deck enjoys views of the North Shore mountains and benefits from natural light from sunrise to sunset.
