This lovely little powder bath was created to add functionality and elegance to a previously claustrophobic and outdated space. The tiny bathroom is only three and a half feet wide, which presented spatial challenges for the homeowners. NWC removed a dated and bulky vanity cabinet and replaced it with a small pedestal sink. To make up for the lost storage, NWC added a recessed medicine cabinet and designed and built custom open shelving to flank the toilet. The top surface was designed with a removable center piece to allow access to the toilet tank. White trim and fixtures pair with a metallic gray floral printed wall paper to help keep the room feeling light, and trick the eye into believing the space is larger than it actually is. A modern, dark gray 2" x 2" mosaic textured tile grounds and balances the room. Crimson accents play in the wall paper, as well as in decorative elements throughout the room. Crystal knobs add a little extravagance and glamour.
