Rooms with a View
ListenUp partnered with Colorado-based builder, Troy Slinkard (Vintage Custom Homes) on this mountain-side dream home. The homeowner wanted their new place to be both tech-savvy and easy to use. Custom Sales Consultant, Bill Rollin, created a Savant /Lutron system that can be controlled using several iPads placed throughout the home.
The home has two main media rooms. The rec room, complete with one-of-a-kind antique pool table and hand-crafted foosball table, features a 70-inch Sharp TV and 5.1 surround sound with B&W on-wall speakers. The cozy TV room on the main floor contains a 60-inch Samsung TV and 7.1 surround system, also with B&W on-walls.
The kitchen includes a spectacular LaCornue stove custom-built in France, as well as other gourmet accoutrements. There is a 40-inch flat-screen TV strategically placed on a full-swing wall-mount so it can be seen from either the kitchen or its adjacent seating area.
There are seven patios on vairous levels of the home, most of which feature spectacular views of Upper Bear Creek and the nearby valley, along with Sonance outdoor speakers for musical enjoyment. the patio off the kitchen has a built-in pizza oven, overhead heating coils for when things get a bit chilly, and a 40-inch flat-screen TV.
In the master bedroom, the 55-inch TV resides in a custom cabinet with a motorized lift, so it can disappear completely when not in use. In-ceiling speakers provide the sound, and the 13-foot-tall windows are covered by a motorized drapery system controllable by the room's ever-present iPad. Fireplaces throughout the home can also be controlled by iPad apps, as can the water feature in the back yard.
