The House on the Hill
When building their dream home near world famous Red Rocks Park, this homeowner was unsure about going all-out in the automation process. After hearing about ListenUp at a Parade of Homes event, the homeowner reached out to then Custom Sales Consultant, Evan Stinson, for advice on adding audio/video components to a few rooms. After discussing their budget, Evan was able to show them a whole-house solution, within the same price range, that made the process a lot simpler to control and customize for the homeowner.
This system utilizes Control4 and Just Add Power for control and distribution, and includes 11 zones of audio (using B&W in-ceiling speakers inside and Sonance all-weather models on the patio), plus four zones of video and audio. In rooms with a TV, there is a Control4 remote, and everything throughout the home can also be controlled with an iPod/iPhone app.
The Great Room on the main floor features a Sony Blu-ray player, a GoldenEar soundbar for the front three channels, B&W in-ceiling speakers and a REL subwoofer. A Samsung 55-inch HDTV is mounted on a Chief articulating wall bracket, so it can be pulled out and viewed from multiple angles. The family room features a similar setup, but with a 65-inch HDTV.
