The Invisible System
The centerpiece of the main floor of this modern and contemporary home renovation is a beautiful porcelain-tile wall between the living room and the kitchen. It contains a see-through fireplace visible from both sides, as well as Samsung LED flat-panel TVs mounted in recessed alcoves on either side. The tiles were a challenge to work with because the homeowner wanted to make the TVs were truly flush, so that you could not see the brackets from the side. Our team did a great job at accomplishing that goal.
The main floor system includes four zones of sound, plus and invisible 5.1 surround system with PSB in-ceiling speakers. Sonos provides wireless access to streaming music via an iPad app, and the equipment is hidden away in a well-organized rack in a basement closet.
The final result was a very modern feel that is still warm and inviting.
