Spikey Shower floor renovation
This bathroom had moisture issues in the shower. No amount of cleaning could get rid of the calcium deposits growing up thru the grout joints of the shower floor. When the homeowner first approached me about this project, I was shocked they had lived with it for so long. My team removed everything down to the studs, cut out the concrete floor for a curbless entry and installed the Schluter waterproofing system on the walls and shower floor. The husband is very tall, but the wife is not. Installing a shower head that had a hose and could be used mounted or hand held improved the function for them both. Large format porcelain tile on the walls and outside floor opened up the space and gave it a cohesive look. A single pane of glass gave it a modern edge. Repainting the existing vanity and framing out the builder grade mirror further refreshed this space.
