We worked closely with our clients to create this unique, minimally detailed, transitional design. White stucco contracts sharply with black elements to create a dramatic expression. The black and white theme of the exterior is carried through on the interior with the use of black doors and nearly black cerused paneling on the two-story entry hall.

This site is unusual because it is wide but relatively shallow. Consequently, the rooms are organized along a corridor that runs the length of the house. At the extreme ends are the entry hall/living room and at the other the kitchen/family room. The home's central feature is a covered outdoor terrace. This outdoor "room" is a focus for the home, and is an important part of daily living and gathering.
