18th Fairway

This very tight back yard bordering a golf course, prompted the challenge of delineating a boundary while preserving the expansive views from the site. A berm of Carex flacca was used to provide a visual line of personal property along the green grass of the golf course. Using a berm as opposed to a fence allowed for the course to become a part of the borrowed landscape without a physical barrier to obstruct the view. A fire pit and stone seat wall were constructed for an entertainment space that played off of the home’s existing stone veneer.
