Avila Valley Estate
The home owners were in desperate need of additional privacy after the raising of the nearby road and bridge exposed their home to passing cars. Garden walls, berms and plant buffers were encorprated around the house. The front driveway was redesigned to include a motor court for guests to park cars and higher walls blocking the view of the garage.
A perennial garden was planted with massings of euphorbia, penstemons, yarrow, and kniphofia among others. The owners love the ability to have their own cutting garden. Pathways meander throughout the 2 acre property providing areas for reflection, whether it be to watch the sunset from the top of the hill or a play game of petanque while enjoying a glass of wine with friends.
