Serpentine Stone

The owners of this residence were searching for a solution to the solid serpentine hillside that sloped down into their backyard. As their initial plan was to remove it, JGSLA suggested that they they celebrate the abundance of serpentine as a valuable asset as opposed to a burden. A small amount of serpentine was excavated to fill a Gabion structure retaining wall. Ipe was used to cap part of the wall and bench.
