These homeowners wanted to renovate their terrace level and they wanted to do it in a very special way! They have one grandchild and another one on the way. They wanted a place where their grandchildren could combine play with learning. Weidmann Remodeling designed a spacious playroom, with lots of storage space.

This playroom has a bit of a classroom look, with a large desk and shelves filled with books, games, and crafts. Good lighting was chosen for the area and windows, bringing in natural light, were incorporated into this special learning environment. A cozy reading nook was constructed with a wide view of the natural surroundings. Other elements of this area include a real library, a full blown stage with back stage costume area, a special home fully decked out with hands on every day learning adventures, plenty of accessible storage for easy clean-up, and even a low profile wash-up sink for those messy fingers.

A product called luxury vinyl was used for much of the flooring in the terrace level. Luxury vinyl is more warm under foot that traditional vinyl. You can get any look you desire from stone to hardwood. It's durable and easy to clean.

But, not to forget the grown-ups, there was a guest suite incorporated in this terrace level renovation complete with bedroom, full bath and kitchenette. A wonderful space for family to relax.
