Custom Kitchen and LMK interiors teamed up to create this gorgeous kitchen remodel in Alamo California. The original kitchen was large but there were odd angles at the back wall with an angled walk in pantry that protruded into the kitchen. The remodel included pushing the back wall out into the adjacent garage which eliminated the odd angles and created a large walk in pantry that was flush with the adjacent built in Sub Zero Refrigerator and Freezer units giving a more unifying look and a better flow. The existing kitchen sink was in the corner at the two windows which created a bottle neck around the cleanup/sink/dishwasher area and meant prepping and clean up duties were facing away from the kitchen, with your back to the rest of the space. The new kitchen layout included moving the sink, a “Galley Work Station, to the end of the island which created a better interface with the rest of the kitchen as well as people seated at the countertop. The custom cabinetry is by Bentwood Luxury Kitchens with three different finishes for the island, perimeter and the furniture type hutch. The cabinetry is chock full of accessories and customized storage solutions that were worked out specifically for the homeowner’s needs. The result, an amazing kitchen… beautiful, spacious, and highly functional.
