Transitional and Tranquil Kitchen remodel in Berkeley Hills

This cramped and isolated kitchen was closed off from the rest of the home with a door to an underutilized den and a door to a dark dining room located in the middle of the house. Opening up the wall between the new kitchen and den and widening the door way to the dining room, as well as adding two skylights in the kitchen, created a new space full of light, air and better functionality. The kitchen now spills into the den with a bar type eating space where friends and family can conveniently interact with the kitchen while perched on a stool, or, a convenient and airy place to work on a laptop with a cup of coffee. The additional cabinetry and countertop in the den lends more storage, a bar area, and a place to display glassware.

This beautiful transitional kitchen in the Berkeley Hills features cherry shaker cabinets, concrete looking quartz countertops, textured neutral tile backsplash,
stainless steel appliances and an undermount sink.
